Job summary

Dynacast Elgin is seeking a Quality Technician to join the Quality Assurance Department on 1st shift in Elgin, IL. You will support the creation, control, storage and retrieval of quality documentation, including work instructions and APQP/PPAP materials.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. The role favors ability to multi-task, work independently and collaborate with a team; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

• Order and monitor lab supplies for calibration/verification.

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is a leading global manufacturer of small engineered precision components utilizing proprietary multi-slide die casting technology and tooling techniques. We currently have an opening for a Quality Technician in our Quality Assurance Department on 1st shift.

Pay: $48,000-$60,000 yr.; Based on experience

Responsibilities

Supports the Quality Assurance department with the creation and modification of quality documentation.

• Documented Information: Create, Control, Storage and Retrieval; inclusive of but not limited to:
• Work instructions (general quality)
• Documentation pertaining to APQP/PPAP
• Change Requests

Supports the Quality Assurance department by knowing and understanding the requirements of its customers; internal and external.

Supports the coordination of measuring & testing devices & equipment for calibration.

Assists with ordering & monitoring the required lab supplies pertaining to the calibration & verification process (e.g.; measuring & testing devices, replacement components, etc.).

Additional responsibilities and projects may be assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Qualifications And Experience

Qualified candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and have experience with Microsoft Office including Intermediate level using Excel. Preferred candidates should be able to multi-task, work independently and be able to collaborate with a team.

Manufacturing experience, a working knowledge of inspection methods, training with IATF, ISO Quality Standards, Core Tools Training (APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC) and bilingual speakers (English and Spanish) all a plus.
