Job summary

Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is looking for motivated and detail-oriented Quality Inspectors to support operations in a fast-paced food and beverage production environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance while learning advanced testing and inspection techniques.

You will perform lab and floor quality checks, test pH, moisture, salt, viscosity, color, and inspect seals, paperwork, and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to complete hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab and floor quality checks per work instructions.
• Test food quality (pH, moisture, salt), viscosity, and color.
• Assess product attributes: appearance, flavor, aroma, texture, and mouthfeel.
• Perform can seam inspections using CCTV/x-ray for seal integrity.
• Monitor x-ray and Tap Tone systems during production.
• Verify production paperwork and packaging specs; ensure GMP compliance.
• Initiate and manage Non-Conforming Product procedures.
• Inspect equipment cleanliness and production environment.

Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is looking for motivated and detail-oriented Quality Inspectors to support operations in a fast-paced food and beverage production environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance while learning advanced testing and inspection techniques.

Role Highlights

• Pay: $18.00-$23.00/hour (based on experience) with an additional $1/hour shift differential


• Shift: 5:40 PM-6:00 AM, 2-2-3


• Shift Differential: Additional $1.00/hour for PM shift

What You'll Do

• Conduct lab and floor quality checks according to work instructions


• Test food quality (pH, moisture, salt), viscosity (Boswick), and color (Colorimeter & NCI chart)


• Assess product attributes: appearance, flavor, aroma, texture, and mouthfeel


• Perform can seam inspections using CCTV/x-ray for proper seal integrity


• Monitor x-ray and Tap Tone systems during production


• Verify production paperwork and packaging specs (labels, codes, patterns)


• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and GMPs


• Initiate and manage Non-Conforming Product (NCP) procedures


• Inspect cleanliness of production equipment and environment


• Conduct ATC testing and pressure/vacuum checks


• Measure drain weights, headspace, and pull-up with specified tools

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED required (relevant experience may substitute for diploma)


• Strong computer and math skills required


• Strong attention to detail is a must


• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks


• Must be able to complete approximately 3 weeks of hands-on training, including on all shifts
