Job summary

ROCKWOOL International A/S in Byhalia, MS is seeking a Quality Technician to join our night shift team from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. You will visually inspect products and ensure they meet quality specifications, while supporting safe operation of equipment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, familiarity with health and safety practices, and experience with data entry and measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers. Prior manufacturing QA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and product specifications.
  • Able to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes.
  • Quality Control/Assurance background.
  • Familiar with data entry databases such as Access.
  • Familiar with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with visual quality inspections.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect material to ensure it meets quality specifications.
  • Report tile deficiencies and irregularities.
  • Separate waste.
  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment and safe removal of failures.
  • Plan efficient product changes.
  • Communicate unusual conditions, equipment issues and reasons for production increase/decrease to cross shift operator.
  • Complete shutdown tasks and procedures.

We are seeking a Quality Technician based in our Byhalia, MS Factory.

This position is on night shift, 5:00PM-5:00AM, with days off rotating on a 2-2-3 basis.
