Job summary

The Integration Group in Boone, IA is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure products meet our quality standards for clients and TIG. You will identify quality control improvements, implement processes, and educate employees on new procedures.

Key duties include performing inspections across all production stages, managing the defect log, updating data slides, and supporting safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Forklift operation may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service, warehouse, or quality assurance experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform inspections and audits across Production, Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong math, measurement, and attention to detail.
  • Forklift operation ability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and audits across Production, Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping.
  • Manage the defect log, notify assignees, categorize defects, and update weekly.
  • Update quality slides on client production planning presentations with defect data.
  • Maintain non-conforming area, red-tag disposition, and defect log logging.
  • Develop and document quality standards and production work instructions.
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement projects.
  • Communicate quality and compliance concerns with urgency.
  • Educate employees as needed, including safety briefs.
  • Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement processes.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols.
  • Operate forklift and basic warehouse equipment.

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring products meet the required quality standards set forth by our clients or TIG. Identify areas for quality control improvement, implement processes, and educate employees on new or revised procedures.

General Duties, And Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and audits across all stages of Production, Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping. Conduct product and process audits and inspections.
  • Manage the defect log, including notifying assignees, categorizing defects, and updating the analysis section weekly.
  • Update quality slides on client production planning presentations with data from the defect log.
  • Manage facility non-conforming area to ensure parts are properly “red tagged”, dispositioned in the warehouse system, and logged in the defect log.
  • Develop and document quality standards, including developing production work instructions.
  • Actively participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement projects.
  • Communicate quality and compliance concerns with urgency.
  • Answer employee questions and provide education as needed, including performing safety briefs.
  • Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement processes accordingly.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other basic warehouse equipment.
  • Other jobs as assigned.
Schedule And Hours

2nd Shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:30pm - 1:00am

Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service, warehouse associate, or quality assurance experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform inspections and audits across all stages of Production, Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping.
  • Proficiency in various computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to perform precise measurements, solid math skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other basic warehouse equipment.
