Job summary

ZOE is expanding rapidly and needs a Quality & Technical Specialist to own our QMS, ensure supplier governance, and verify product compliance across international launches. You will oversee documentation, auditing, and lab verification while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and external partners to safeguard product quality.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in food, beverage, dietary supplements, or FMCG.
• Working knowledge of HACCP principles and standard compliance frameworks (BRCGS, SALSA, GFSI, ISO).
• Experience reviewing lab data (CoAs, microbiological data, shelf-life studies) and writing product specifications.
• Understanding UK/EU allergen labeling laws and auditing allergen controls at third‑party manufacturing facilities.
• Hands-on experience conducting traceability audits and executing mock or live product recalls.
• Data‑savvy, adaptable; able to analyse complaint trends and quality issues in a fast-paced scale-up.
• Permanent right to work in the UK or EU.
• Willingness to travel to manufacturing partners and supplier sites (primarily UK/EU) about once or twice every few months for audits, relationship building, and trials.

Responsibilities

• QMS & Compliance: Maintain QMS records, audit schedules, and safety policies per BRCGS, HACCP, and UK/EU regulations.
• Supplier Governance: Serve as primary technical contact for co-manufacturers and ingredient suppliers, overseeing onboarding, audits, certifications, and approvals.
• Product & Retail Specs: Own finished product/packaging specs, review artwork for labeling accuracy, manage retailer technical portals.
• Allergen Control & Compliance: Manage allergen risk assessments and cleaning validation to prevent cross‑contamination.
• Recalls & Crisis Management: Lead mock recalls and own the response plan for product incidents with full traceability.
• Verification & Testing: Oversee lab testing, shelf-life, nutritional verification, and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).
• Complaints & Risk (CAPA): Lead root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Launch & Process Automation: Support NPD and expansion compliance using digital tools and AI to streamline quality workflows.
