Job summary

Silk Road Technologies Canada is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform receiving inspections, verify material conformance, and document inspection results at our Grand Ledge, Michigan facility. The role requires hands-on use of measurement tools, GD&T interpretation, and adherence to TS-16949/ISO 14001 quality policies.

The candidate will participate in problem-solving teams, support continuous improvement, and maintain safety and housekeeping standards in daily work.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting IATF16949 and ISO9001:2015 procedures.
• Ability to read and understand customer drawings (GD&T).
• Experience in quality inspections and documenting results.
• Willingness to work shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection approvals on incoming parts.
• Verify incoming and in process material meets the customer requirements.
• Completing inspection related documents.
• Understands how to use measurement tools and equipment.
• Perform dock and process audits per inspection worksheet, gage instructions and other customer requirements.
• Interpret customer drawings (GD&T).
• Verify quality of sort and rework operations. (Set-up sorts, gather information from sorts).
• Active Team participant in problem-solving activities.
• Support non-conforming system proficiency (input and output of hold area).
• Ability to use computers in area of quality alerts, setting up sorts and gather information from sorts.
• Support TS-16949 and ISO 14001 standards and procedures.
• Understands, supports, and implements the company Safety policies and procedures into daily work habits.
• Understands, supports, and implements the company Quality policy and procedures into daily work habits.
