Job summary

Qualified Staffing is hiring a Quality Technician in Swartz Creek, MI for the second shift (3-11:30 PM). The role involves inspections at multiple stages, gage calibration, and maintaining a 5S environment to ensure product quality.

Calipers, micrometers, and height gauges are commonly used. Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lb occasionally, and possess basic math, computer, and data-collection skills.

• Reasoning ability: define a problem, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions.
• Ability to read and interpret measurement results and reports.

Job description

Job Title: Quality Technician

Location: Swartz Creek, Michigan

Hours: Second Shift, 3-11:30 PM

Pay: $17-20 /hr depending on experience plus a 2.00 shift premium

Responsibilities:

• Receiving & Incoming Inspections
• 1st Piece / Set-Up Inspections
• In-process & Final Inspections
• Maintaining a 5S Work Environment
• Maintaining the QA File Structures & Storage
• Gage Calibration

Requirements:

• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to regularly lift and move 10 pounds, frequently lift and move 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move 50 pounds
• Basic knowledge of measuring devices: calipers, micrometers, height gage
• Basic Mathematical Skills: addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals (minimum 3 places)
• Basic Computer Skills: able to access folders, scan and save documents, type reports
• Reasoning Ability: able to define a problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
