Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Quality Team Lead in Sioux Falls, SD to guide the daily quality team and ensure products meet quality standards, customer requirements and regulatory expectations. You will serve as a technical resource and frontline leader for quality technicians and inspectors, driving continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and compliance with the quality system.

Typical schedule is Mon-Fri 6:00am–2:30pm with opportunities to influence manufacturing outcomes and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing quality experience.
• 1+ years of leadership, supervisory experience preferred.
• Advanced certification (CQE, CQM, CQA) preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to read computer generated reports, design specifications and engineering drawings.
• Ability to be self-motivated, prioritize, and delegate.

• Lead corrective and preventative actions.
• Conduct audits and inspections of products, processes, and documentation.
• Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conforming materials.
• Train and develop the quality team.
• Maintain compliance with quality management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Quanex is looking for a Quality Team Lead to join our team located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This role is responsible for leading daily quality team activities to ensure products meet established quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This position serves as a technical resource and frontline leader for quality technicians and inspectors, driving continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and compliance with company quality systems.

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pm

What Success Looks Like:

The hourly rate of pay for this position starts at $25.00 per hour and would be commensurate with experience.
