Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality-focused professional to join the Integrated Production Unit in Richmond, VA. You will assist the Quality team in implementing a robust quality system, conduct audits, establish controls, and train personnel on tools and methodologies.

You will report quality KPIs and customer cases while maintaining process documentation, working onsite in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in a technical field, 2 years of manufacturing experience,

Qualifications

• Associate degree (mechanical/electrical engineering preferred) and 2 years of experience in manufacturing/production OR combination of education and work experience.
• Recent professional experience focusing on production quality management activities, from inspections and audits to performance monitoring, and knows how to drive results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus, but more importantly, you’re eager to learn and apply these approaches to make processes better.
• Analytical aptitude and thinking, strong data collection and analytical skills
• Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to influence and align both internal and external stakeholders.
• Flexible to work in any shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality team in implementing and maintaining a quality system, including audits and controls.
• Report quality KPIs and customer cases and maintain process documentation.
• Support daily quality management activities within the organizational unit.
• Train local teams on quality tools and methodologies and promote improvement opportunities.
