Job summary

Briggs & Stratton, LLC. is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform specialized tasks in die cast, gauge lab, dyno, and supplier quality. You will conduct process capability studies, Gage R&R analyses, and report SPC data trends while coordinating calibration and vendor quality issues.

Qualifications

1.5 years of Quality experience.
High School diploma or GED required.
Familiarity with SPC, Gage R&R, and calibration concepts.
Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

Investigate incoming materials; contact vendors to resolve quality issues, develop inspection instructions, and determine disposition of defects.
Schedule and coordinate calibration of gages in manufacturing; develop gage user instructions and coordinate delivery or off-site calibration as needed.
Maintain quality system/database; audit data, generate custom reports, and keep shop-floor hardware up to date.
Perform SPC charting interpretation and trend analysis to monitor process capability.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
