Optimize Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Systems Manager to lead, maintain, and continuously improve the quality systems that support our manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on role that works closely with manufacturing, engineering, inspection, laboratory personnel, suppliers, and management. The Quality Control Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, purchased components, manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and finished products meet established specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards.
The right candidate will be comfortable working at both the system and production levels: maintaining effective quality procedures and documentation while also investigating problems, reviewing data, supporting manufacturing, and helping prevent recurring quality issues.
Our goal is a quality system that is rigorous, practical, and supports both product quality and efficient manufacturing.
The Quality Control Systems Manager has the authority to stop or place production on hold when significant product quality or compliance concerns are identified.
We are looking for someone with practical manufacturing quality experience who can evaluate problems carefully, make sound decisions, and follow issues through resolution.
A bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, industrial technology, or another related technical field is preferred.
Significant relevant experience in manufacturing, quality control, or quality assurance may be considered in place of the preferred degree.
Previous supervisory or quality-system leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with statistical analysis, quality-management systems, and manufacturing quality tools is beneficial.
Experience in precision manufacturing, engineered components, scientific instrumentation, laboratory products, or another technically demanding manufacturing environment is preferred. Familiarity with chromatography, HPLC, UHPLC, LC/MS, or analytical instrumentation is beneficial but not required.
This is a full-time, on-site position at Optimize Technologies in Oregon City, Oregon.
The role includes work in both office and manufacturing and laboratory environments and requires regular interaction with production employees, technical personnel, management, suppliers, and customers.
Appropriate personal protective equipment is required when working in designated manufacturing or laboratory areas.
