Job summary

Momentive is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern in Quality Management at the Waterford, NY site to support quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives. You will develop process maps, identify opportunities for efficiency, and assist with AS9100 and NADCAP certification activities while helping create training resources.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning in manufacturing quality systems, with a focus on statistics, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with QA/QC

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent field of study.
• Attention to detail – ability to document new processes and procedures.
• Self-starter – Proactively identify new opportunities to drive efficiencies in Quality and Service at Waterford, NY site.
• Computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Minitab or other statistical analysis tool preferred.
• Knowledge of basic statistics and/or successful completion of university-level mathematics courses.
• Prior experience training or teaching technical topics to small groups considered a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn new software platforms to support project work.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Develop Process maps of the QC Processes to identify improvements.
• Plan and execute improvements, identify long-term process changes needed.
• Develop Process maps of the QA Processes to identify improvements.
• Plan and execute improvements, identify long-term process changes needed.
• Support of AS9100 Certification and NADCAP certification.
• Develop Product Quality Engineer training plan for new engineer onboarding.
