Job summary

Aspen Aerogels is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to drive the East Providence QMS, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related standards. You will lead audits, handle nonconformities, and coordinate customer-specific requirements with Operations, R&D, and supply chain teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, 5+ years in quality systems, and IATF 16949 lead auditing experience, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in quality management systems in automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or manufacturing environments.
• Lead Auditor qualified in IATF 16949; VDA 6.3 process auditor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the East Providence Quality Management System (QMS) per IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other standards.
• Develop and coordinate the East Providence audit program for QMS, processes, and supplier/audit activities.
• Lead investigations of nonconformities with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Oversee Customer-Specific Requirements processes and integration into the QMS.
• Monitor QMS performance via metrics, audits, and management reviews; communicate findings to stakeholders.
