Job summary

The Pivot Group Network partners with Traverse Citymanufacturers to connect skilled Quality Supervisors with current or upcoming openings. This role leads the Quality Control team, trains staff, and ensures product standards across shifts.

Expect to drive QA programs, participate in audits, and collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to sustain continuous improvement and on-time, compliant shipments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of quality assurance experience in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience supervising quality personnel.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
• Proficiency with SPC and problem-solving methodologies (8D, FMEA, RCA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Quality Control team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure product consistency and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for non-conforming products and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and report metrics to management.
• Lead internal and external audits (ISO, customer audits) to ensure compliance with quality systems.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising and mentoring quality personnel.
• Strong understanding and application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CQA)
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
