Job summary

Enviva is seeking a Quality Supervisor at our Virginia Beach plant to drive QA/QC across operations. You will manage the lab, lead testing, and coordinate corrective actions to meet customer specifications while improving efficiency.

You will oversee quality control and assurance activities, train staff, and coordinate with operations to ensure safety and product integrity. A BS/BA in a related field is preferred, with several years in quality leadership.”

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' experience in Quality, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and respond quickly to changing priorities.
• Desire to learn quickly and take on higher levels of responsibility.
• High degree of professionalism and accountability.
• Ability to lead hourly team members and work odd hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the plant laboratory; supervise, train, and certify operators; manage sampling and testing of finished goods; maintain QA/QC documentation and records.
• Develop and maintain quality control tools and instructions; audit test procedures; ensure timely and accurate test results.
• Oversee daily collection and testing of samples; track finished goods quality metrics against specs; perform root cause analysis.
• Formulate action plans for quality issues at the plant; train and audit employees on quality procedures.
• Lead pre-shift meetings; direct facility operations; supervise hourly staff and provide corrective actions as needed.
• Lead RCA analyses via cause maps to correct downtime and quality specification gaps; back-up terminal manager as needed.
