Job summary

Hoshizaki America Inc. is seeking a Quality Supervisor in Peachtree City, GA to oversee incoming material inspection and finished product testing in line with our quality standards.

You will direct a team, manage test schedules for new ice machine products, and contribute to root-cause analysis and the development of new test methods to ensure reliable launches. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 5 years in production/quality, strong Excel skills, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 5 years of production, manufacturing, assembly, and/or quality experience.
• Engineering background with understanding of engineering theory and design principles.
• HVAC knowledge and ability to advise technicians.
• Change Request experience and root cause analysis experience.
• Understanding of test schedules in a production-driven environment (mass production timing).
• Proficient in Excel including modifying sheets, checks, and macros.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to use quality inspection equipment including depth gage, calipers, micrometer, product gages, and CMM.
• Effective oral and written communications skills.
• Self-starter with strong leadership/team management ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the detailed test schedule for new products (ice machines, some reach-in units) to support mass production readiness timing.
• Manage Change Requests (CRs) and DAQ data logging to support test validation and root cause analysis.
• Assist in developing test methods and procedures for testing and inspection to ensure products are flawless.
• Identify and address recurring problems with product quality.
• Analyze reports and defective products from production to determine trends and root cause.
• Interpret engineering drawings and inspection data.
• Assist in follow-ups with suppliers on quality deviations and corrective actions; ensure solutions are identified and implemented.
• Direct and supervise a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures, with KPI attainment as a measured outcome.
