Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks a Quality Supervisor at the Kingston plant to lead the QC Inspectors and own the plant's quality program end-to-end. You will drive RCCA and MRB across the site, target top warranty drivers, and partner with Engineering and Production to resolve root causes.

The role requires building quality systems, establishing standard work, leading 5S, training operators, and preparing for ISO 9001 audits as the plant scales.

  • Strong knowledge of RCCA, MRB and problem-solving methodologies.

Job description

The Quality Supervisor leads and directs the quality function at the Kingston plant, leading the plant's QC Inspectors and owning the plant's quality program end-to-end. This is a leadership role responsible for building quality functions and systems at the Kingston CM plant.Drive Root-Cause-Corrective-Action (RCCA) and coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) process across the plant for continuous improvement efforts.Lead plant's QC Inspectors, coordinating daily inspection priorities and providing technical guidance and quality expertise.Own reduction of top warranty drivers (i.e. paint defects, aluminum weld defects, aluminum tarnish) with measurable YoY targets tied to plant EBITDA/GM goals.Support structured problem-solving (5 Whys, Fishbone, PDCA) and cross-functional Kaizen events.Design and implement in-process and final inspection standards where formal procedures may not yet exist.Own quality KPI reporting (i.e. scrap rate, warranty $/volume, first-pass yield, audit results) directly to the Plant Manager.Partner with Engineering, Production, and Purchasing on supplier and process root causes for top defect categories.Develop and audit Standard Work procedures; drive 5S implementation and sustainment across work areas.Establish and lead operator training programs for quality standards and inspection techniques.Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 compliance.Build the foundation for a formal Quality Management System (QMS) as plant volume and complexity grow, including the framework for future quality staff additions.QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in Quality, Engineering, or related field desired; equivalent experience considered.5+ years of manufacturing quality experience, including experience operating in a lead, mentor, or informal leadership capacity.Strong working knowledge of RCCA, MRB, and structured problem-solving methodologies.Experience building or improving a quality programAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, welding specs, and paint/coating specifications.Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to build tracking tools/dashboards for KPI reporting.Strong communication skills, including presenting quality performance to plant leadership.Preferred SkillsISO 9001 or other QMS certification auditor experience.Experience with welding and powder coating defect analysis.Familiarity with SPC and statistical data analysis tools.Experience standing up a quality department/function.BenefitsCompetitive wages — benchmarked to the role's scope and growth potentialHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for professional development and growth
