Akkodis seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead QA operations in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated manufacturing environment in Lancaster, SC. This onsite role runs on the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11:15 PM–7:15 AM) with initial 1st shift training for 30–60 days.

The ideal candidate will oversee QA activities across two facilities, manage a team of QA Inspectors, and ensure compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience.
• Previous supervisory, shift lead, or people leadership experience.
• Experience with ISO standards is a must.
• Experience supervising employees in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 7 Quality Assurance Inspectors across two manufacturing buildings.
• Provide direct supervision to 2-5 employees per shift.
• Partner with a seasoned 3rd Shift QA Supervisor to maintain quality standards.
• Support quality operations within tablet, capsule, and blister packaging manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and internal quality systems.
• Review batch records and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Investigate deviations and corrective actions; enforce SOPs and quality procedures.
• Collaborate with Production, Operations, and Quality leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Our client in Lancaster, SC seeks a qualified Quality Supervisor to work a permanent 3rd Shift onsite (SHIFT: Sunday - Thursday | 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM)/

*Open to relocating candidates

Base salary: $75-$85k; may be negotiable based on education, experience, geographic location and other factors>

NOTE: Training will be conducted on 1st Shift for approximately 30-60 days, depending on experience. Upon completion of training, this position will remain permanently on 3rd Shift.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead and support quality operations within a fast-paced, FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing QA activities across two operational facilities, leading a team of QA Inspectors, and ensuring compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, a deep understanding of quality systems, and a proven track record in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, dietary supplement, or food and beverage manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 7 Quality Assurance Inspectors across two manufacturing buildings
• Provide direct supervision to 2-5 employees during each shift
• Partner closely with an experienced 3rd Shift QA Supervisor to maintain consistent quality standards
• Support quality operations within:
• Tablet Manufacturing
• Capsule Manufacturing
• Blister Packaging
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, internal quality systems, and ISO standards
• Review batch records and manufacturing documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Investigate and document deviations, non-conformances, and corrective actions
• Enforce adherence to SOPs and quality procedures
• Collaborate with Production, Operations, and Quality leadership to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a strong culture of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications and Industry Experience (Required)

Candidates must have experience within one of the following regulated manufacturing environments:

• Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
• Nutraceutical or Dietary Supplement Manufacturing
• Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Experience

• 4-5+ years of experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience
• Previous supervisory, shift lead, or people leadership experience
• Experience supervising employees within a manufacturing setting
• Preferred overall experience level: 5-10 years

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (critical requirement)
• Experience creating, implementing, and enforcing SOPs
• Batch record review and documentation management
• Deviation investigations
• Non-conformance management
• FDA-regulated quality systems
• Manufacturing quality processes and controls

Preferred Qualifications
