Job summary

CIRCOR Naval Solutions, LLC, located at the Warren site, is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead the quality program across pumps and valves. You will partner with Operations and Supply to drive systemic improvements using the CIRCOR Operating System and to advocate for customers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years leading a manufacturing quality team, experience with ISO/MIL-I-45208, and a strong background in metrology and military inspections.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Defense contracts and specifications; shipyards and DCMA inspectors work.
  • Familiar with FAR clauses and contract requirements to flow down in production and inspection.
  • Experience with military inspections, NDT, ISO, and government documents for compliance.
  • Must show leadership, strategic thinking, innovation, time management and integrity.
  • Proven ability to manage conflict and change.
  • Metrology experience using scanning tools and CMMs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality program for the Warren site in collaboration with Operations and Supply chain.
  • Manage union inspectors for pumps and valves.
  • Establish inspection prioritization and throughput with production.
  • Provide updates during daily production meetings.
  • Review and audit Novacura job tracking.
  • Maintain inspector timecards and reporting (Gemba board, bowler charts, RAILs).
  • Help Operations reduce customer-reported quality issues.
  • Lead 5S in inspection areas.
  • Backlog reduction across inspection types (incoming, in-process, PT, final).
  • Balance resources and cross-train / certify staff.

QUALITY SUPERVISOR
Position Summary

Lead the Quality program for business unit at the Warren site. This position will be charged with supporting the Operations and Supply all side of the business as well as using the tools of the CIRCOR Operating System to drive systemic process improvements into our organization. The role will partner with multiple stakeholders in the Warren business from operations to outside customers each day. Most importantly, this associate will play a critical role in advocating for our Customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage team of union inspectors for both pumps and valves
  • Establish and maintain methods for inspection prioritization and throughput in collaboration with production
  • Provide updates during daily production meetings
  • Review and audit Novacura job tracking
  • Maintain inspector timecards
  • Manage reporting of performance including Gemba board support, bowler charts, RAILs, etc.
  • Assist Operations to reduce the number of customers reported quality issues
  • Lead 5S activities in inspection areas
  • Reduce and manage inspection backlogs of different inspection types (incoming, in-process, PT, final, etc.)
  • Balance resources depending on workload and schedule cross training and certification activities
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • A clear understanding of Defense contracts and specifications is a plus. able to work closely with shipyards and DCMA inspectors
  • A clear understanding of FAR clauses and contract requirements is a plus to flow down to maintain all requirements are followed through production and inspection plan
  • Experience with military inspections related to contracts, NDT processes, ISO, and other government technical documents to ensure compliance is a plus
  • Must have leadership ability, capacity for strategic thinking, ability to foster innovation, time management skills, and unquestionable integrity
  • Demonstrated ability for managing conflict and change
  • Metrology experience using scanning tools, CMMs etc.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience as a quality supervisor in a manufacturing / industrial setting, with a minimum of 3 years leading a team
  • Experience in ISO Audit & certification, and MIL-I-45208
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
