Job summary

CIRCOR International is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure products and manufacturing processes meet standards and customer requirements. You will analyze data, identify trends, and lead root cause investigations across production, engineering, and supply chain.

Collaborative problem solving and adherence to COS tools will drive sustainable improvements. The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication to support compliance with standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–5 years of quality engineering experience with understanding of quality concepts and principles.
  • ASQ certification (or equivalent) preferred.

  • Develop, implement, and improve quality plans (PCS).
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and respond to customer escapes and corrective action requests (SCARs).
  • Prepare reports such as VIRS, VPARS, LOAs, and customer RCCA responses.

Job description

QUALITY ENGINEER

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and manufacturing processes meet established standards and customer requirements. This role works collaboratively with cross-functional teams-including production, engineering, and supply chain-to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions that support operational excellence. The Quality Engineer analyzes production and quality data to identify trends, detect nonconformances, and evaluate process performance. Using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies, this position investigates quality issues, develops corrective and preventive actions, and supports the implementation of sustainable process improvements. The role also assists in maintaining compliance with applicable standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, implement, and improve quality plans (PCS)
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
  • Prepare and respond to customer escapes and corrective action requests (SCARs)
  • Prepare reports such as VIRS, VPARS, LOAs, and customer RCCA responses
  • Drive continuous improvement through utilization of CIRCOR Operating System (COS) tools
  • Develop, create, edit and implement special process and quality system procedures
  • Assist with internal and external 3rd party and customer audits
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Interpret ASTM, Military, DFARS and FAR specifications, drawings, including knowledge of GD&T
  • Working experience with writing quality procedures
  • Problem Solving: Solves problems using systematic analysis processes and industry-standard methodologies
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and applications
  • Quality Process Management: Applies quality tools and methods (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability studies, Process Audit, inspection, test)
  • Measurement Science: Analyzes measurement processes throughout the traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty
  • Experience with standards such as AS9100, ISO14001, ISO9001
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines, be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to collaborate across business functions to achieve results
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a technical field required or relevant combination of education and direct experience
  • Requires 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering, including understanding of quality concepts and principles
  • ASQ certification (or equivalent) preferred
