Quality Supervisor – 3rd Shift (Spartanburg, SC)

Location: Spartanburg, SC 29303

Shift: 3rd Shift | 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM

HTI is partnering with a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier to hire a Quality Supervisor for their Spartanburg, SC facility. This full-time, overnight position plays a key leadership role in supporting production quality, team coaching, and operational performance. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional looking to lead a high-impact quality team on a stable and well-supported night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise quality operations and personnel within a defined production zone during 3rd shift
  • Train and certify team members on workstations and processes
  • Ensure production meets safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency expectations
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and maintain zone performance boards
  • Monitor product quality, report issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Investigate incidents (e.g., near misses, tooling issues), document root causes, and drive resolution
  • Coach team members on job performance and behavior; handle attendance and discipline issues in line with company policy
  • Collaborate with other shift leaders and support teams to return abnormal processes to standard
  • Maintain production traceability, material containment, and accurate reporting in line with company procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of relevant supervisory experience in manufacturing or quality leadership
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, manage conflict, and make decisions under pressure
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety and quality protocols
  • Experience working with hour-by-hour performance boards, visual controls, and production monitoring systems
  • Willingness to flex schedule, including occasional early arrivals, late stays, or weekends
  • Must wear steel toe boots and hard hats on site
  • Must meet federal export control requirements as a U.S. person
