Qualifications

  • 4+ years in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Systems
  • Experience supporting AS9100/ISO 9001 audits
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
  • Proficient with inspection methods and measurement tools

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily QA and QC activities
  • Perform inspections using drawings, specs, and GD&T
  • Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lead AS9100 and ISO 9001 internal and external audits
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and drive improvements
  • Review inspection reports and FAIRs (AS9102)
  • Analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve issues
  • Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and industry requirements
  • Train staff on quality procedures and best practices
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence

Job description

A growing manufacturer serving highly regulated industries is seeking a Quality Supervisor to oversee daily quality operations, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, engineering, operations, and suppliers to maintain a strong quality culture while ensuring products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on quality professional with experience in auditing, inspections, and quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily quality assurance and quality control activities
  • Perform and oversee inspections of fabricated, machined, and purchased components using drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lead and prepare for AS9100 and ISO 9001 internal and external audits
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and support supplier quality improvement initiatives
  • Review inspection reports, First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102), and quality documentation
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements
  • Train employees on quality procedures, standards, and best practices
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Systems
  • Experience supporting or leading AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 audits
  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and inspection methodologies
  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection tools
  • Experience reviewing and maintaining quality records and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Aerospace, defense, electronics, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
