Job summary

Roskam Foods, founded in 1923 and based in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a detail-oriented QA professional to maintain SQF and other certifications. You will manage document control, data analysis, and staff training while collaborating with departments during product setup and audits.

The role emphasizes ensuring quality, safety, and wholesomeness across a multi-site manufacturing environment with strong vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining SQF certification and quality systems.
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills.
• Ability to train, schedule, supervise staff and review work.
• Effective collaboration with production and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment of documentation with quality policy and SQF elements.
• Develop connections with departments involved in initial product setup.
• Maintain knowledge of plant floor activities and certification programs.
• Support SQF, Kosher, RSPO, and Organic certifications.
• Perform document control and data analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audits and CAPA investigations.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors for services (calibration, repairs).
• Maintain accuracy in inventory records and training schedules.

Key Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Ensure alignment of documentation with quality policy and SQF elements
• Develop a strong connection with departments involved in the initial product setup
• Develop a strong knowledge of plant floor activities
• Support the maintenance of SQF certification
• Support the maintenance of Kosher, RSPO, and Organic certification
• Document control
• Data Analysis
• Personnel Training, Scheduling, and Supervision, and review
• Corrective Action/Preventative action investigation
• Inventory Management
• Internal and External Audit Support
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors for various services (calibration, repairs, etc)
• Must be detail-oriented
• Good verbal and written skills,
