Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide staff support as required.
  • Prepare weekly reports as requested by the Quality Manager.
  • Perform employee evaluations and administer disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Monitor attendance and payroll records for department staff.
  • Coordinate work assignments and resolve quality findings to keep shipments on schedule.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Supervisors/Managers across the facility.
  • Handle other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Quality Supervisor

Full Time Fort Wayne, IN, US

Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the effective management and leadership of all firewall personnels. The Quality Supervisor must develop and maintain a staff that is focused on customer satisfaction, involved with the overall success of the organization, and continuously improves the company’s performance in quality, price, and delivery.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and work procedures.
  • Provide support to the staff as required.
  • Performing Weekly reports as required by the Quality Manager
  • Performing employee evaluations and administering proper disciplinary actions as required.
  • Ensure that good housekeeping practices are followed.
  • Maintain & Monitor attendance and payroll records for those department associates.
  • Coordinate the work assignments, resolution of quality findings, sort activities and daily dock audit inspections to ensure that all shipments are ready to be picked up on schedule.
  • Continual communication with the other Supervisors/Managers of the facility.
  • Other assignments as designated by the Quality Manager.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Strong leadership ability and a high degree of ethical and professional standards. Must be trusted by peers and superiors and willing to accept responsibility for their performance.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with operators, other support staff and the Shift Supervisor and/or other company managers.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license and to safely handle materials.
  • Ability to handle stressful employee situations in an effective manner.
  • Treats all employees in a consistent, fair, and respectful manner.
  • Ability to excel in a team-based environment.
  • 2-3 years of experience working within an IATF, ISO9000, or similar, quality management system.
  • Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Ability to work with computers and bar code scanning equipment.
