Job description

This role is responsible for supervising and maintaining the plant's Quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory, federal, and local laws. The focus areas include achieving facility Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) KPI's through corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, defining, and directing of the site auditing control program to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, GMP standards, Kraft Heinz requirements, and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) principles through routine audits, reporting, and trending of processes and regulatory controls.
  • Support the Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) and operational standards as per the plant accountability list.
  • Train, mentor, and lead the site QA and Production teams to meet program goals.
  • Adhere to change control procedures, review partial HACCP plans, and issue Agile change requests as needed.
  • Maintain the plant KHMS program in compliance with Kraft Heinz and international standards (FSSC/ISO). Facilitate cross-functional KHMS team activities to achieve successful certification.
  • Maintain FSQ/KPI/MBO action plans and ensure progress towards targets.
  • Support inspections and regulatory visits, prepare for audits, accompany inspectors, and complete reports.
  • Follow up on non-conformances and respond appropriately.
  • Review and approve minor process change requests.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis efforts.
  • Manage Hold/Release documentation and product dispositioning.
  • Participate in validation studies for CCPs, OPRPs, and other controls.
  • Contribute to equipment commissioning and startup, ensuring quality and food safety standards.
  • Promote and support a Food Safety Culture across the site.

Expected Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in technical quality or production in food or manufacturing environments.
  • Educational background or on-the-job knowledge in Food Science, Production, Quality, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, procedures, policies, and statistical processes.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on long-term prevention.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and overtime, with regular attendance.

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Flexibility for various shifts is required.

Physical Requirements

Occasional activities for up to 1/3 of working hours include keyboard use, standing, and exerting minimal force. Limited movement from workstation for brief periods.

Salary Range: $77,800 - $97,300

Bonus: Performance-based bonus eligibility.
