Job summary

IRISS, Inc. in Bradenton, Florida, seeks an experienced Quality Supervisor to own end-to-end quality from incoming materials to final release and warranty monitoring. You will establish quality checks at every station, lead the quality team, and drive containment and corrective actions.

Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Production to build control plans, support PFMEA, reduce scrap and customer complaints, and promote reliable data and prevention of defects across shifts.

• Maintain inspection procedures, defect criteria, traceability, and calibration of measuring equipment; ensure users are trained.
• Coordinate audits, document control, training records, and closure of audit findings; liaise with Purchasing and Engineering on supplier quality.

IRISS is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to support our US Operations in Bradenton, Florida.

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for end-to-end operational quality at IRISS, from incoming materials through fabrication, powder coating, assembly, final release, customer performance, and warranty monitoring. The role establishes quality checks at every station, monitors and reports quality at each operation, and drives timely containment and corrective action.

The supervisor partners with Manufacturing Engineering and Production to build quality into processes, develop control plans, support Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and reduce rework, scrap, customer complaints, and warranty costs. The role leads assigned quality personnel and promotes clear standards, reliable data, and prevention of recurring defects.

Primary Responsibilities

Quality Leadership and Daily Control

• Lead daily quality activities and assigned inspectors; coordinate quality coverage across shifts and coach operators and Team Leads on inspection and defect prevention.

• Maintain inspection procedures, defect criteria, traceability, and quality records; verify measuring equipment is suitable and within calibration and users are trained.
• Support the quality management system through process audits, document control, training records, and closure of audit findings. Coordinate incoming and supplier quality issues with Purchasing and Engineering.

Quality Checks at Every Operation

Establish first-piece, setup, in-process, and final checks as appropriate, using approved drawings, specifications, sampling requirements, and acceptance criteria.

• Punch: Verify material, thickness, part revision, hole and feature locations, dimensions, burrs, and surface condition.
• Press Brake: Verify bend angles, dimensions, orientation, forming damage, and fit to mating parts.
• Stud Insertion: Verify fastener type, location, seating, and retention or installation integrity using approved test methods.
• Spot Weld: Verify weld location, quantity, appearance, part alignment, and weld integrity against approved process and test requirements.
• Powder Coat: Verify preparation, coverage, film thickness, appearance, adhesion, and cure using approved criteria and test methods.
• Assembly and Final Release: Verify component identity, fit, fastening, required functional checks, labeling, packaging, and completion of inspection records before shipment.

Control Plans and Built-In Quality

• Create and maintain station control plans defining critical characteristics, inspection and test methods, gauges, sampling or frequency, records, ownership, and reaction plans
