Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Quality representative for the 2nd shift to lead quality initiatives on the production floor.

The role involves communicating quality concerns to engineers and management, investigating internal and supplier-related issues, and supporting containment and change-point activities to ensure proper control of nonconforming material.

Qualifications

• Preferred manufacturing or quality experience.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing process.
• Understand quality tools, inspection methods, and containment procedures.
• Experience with problem solving and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Quality representative on 2nd shift.
• Communicate and elevate quality concerns to Quality Engineers, management and other personnel.
• Investigate internal and supplier-related quality issues that may impact production.
• Coordinate and support containment activities to ensure suspect or nonconforming material is properly identified and controlled.
• Assist with tracking and tagging process or product change points.
• Perform production audits and maintain required documentation.
• Perform part inspections and analysis as needed.
• Work closely with production and other departments to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment and varying temperatures
• Ability to visually inspect parts and identify defects or abnormalities
• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
