As a Quality Inspector, you will primarily be responsible for inspections and tests related to specific scopes of work such as concrete and civil work. You will perform other duties as directed by your supervisor to meet project quality requirements. To be effective, you must develop a thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule as they relate to your specific assignment.

District Overview

Responsibilities
- Listen to and address client concerns and observations.
- Communicate openly and honestly with client representatives regarding work quality.
- Understand project scope and quality requirements related to your responsibilities.
- Study and understand the Project Quality Plan and related quality documents.
- Identify detailed quality requirements from contract specifications, codes, and standards.
- Determine inspection and testing frequency.
- Coordinate with operations to schedule inspections and tests to meet production goals.
- Perform inspections and tests as scheduled.
- Ensure inspections and tests are performed by others as required.
- Prepare inspection/test reports and maintain quality documentation.
- Verify compliance with contract documents, codes, and standards.
- Interpret codes and standards to assess work compliance.
- Maintain effective communication with the project team.
- Report test results with accurate documentation.
- Organize and store quality documents per procedures.
- Identify and report nonconforming work, ensuring proper correction.
- Perform source and receiving inspections of materials.
- Develop strong working relationships with team members.
- Participate in and contribute to task planning meetings.
Additional Responsibilities
- Inspect field conditions, identify issues, and suggest improvements.
- Inspect subordinate work for compliance, address deficiencies, and explain corrections.
- Listen to safety and operational concerns, evaluate, and implement corrective actions.
- Identify hazards and take actions to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Respond appropriately to safety warnings and signals.
- Work productively and motivate oneself.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in quality assurance or inspection roles.
- Self-starter with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of trade-specific inspection and testing techniques.
- Understanding of relevant construction industry codes.
- Certifications from AWS, ACI, ICBO, ASNT, NACE, API, etc., may be required.
