Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality professional to support deployment of the quality strategy for a local unit in Pinetops, NC. You will drive prevention and continuous improvement, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead audits to ensure world-class quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include leading NPI quality efforts, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing CAPA plans. Strong knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, APQP, Lean, and Six Sigma is required, with familiarity in SAP and related

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is preferred.
• 1 year experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (RCA and CAPA) such as 5Y, 8D, 3A, etc., plus FMEA and Control Plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product (NPI) projects for Quality using FMEA, Control Plans, and related tools.
• Conduct RCA’s and implement CAPAs to mitigate risks.
• Evaluate products/processes and implement internal controls to ensure quality outputs.
• Support engineering with product data and lifecycle quality assessments.
• Train operators and engineers in basic quality testing and inspection routines.
