Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies seeks a Lead Quality Specialist to join the Houston (Pearland) team, providing technical leadership for QA, inspection, and verification across development, production, testing, and product acceptance.

You will guide quality improvements, support audits, and serve as the primary resource for resolving complex quality issues with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams. This on-site role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive quality assurance, quality control, inspection, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading quality improvement and corrective action initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of quality systems, auditing, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance and inspection activities to ensure products, processes, and testing meet quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze inspection and test results, identify quality trends, and lead corrective and preventive action activities to improve process capability and product quality.
• Partner with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Inspection teams to implement inspection improvements and support new product introductions.
• Lead system audits, process audits, and quality compliance activities while maintaining quality documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality Specialist, Lead

We are looking for a Quality Specialist, Lead to join our Houston (Pearland) team!

This person provides technical leadership for quality assurance, inspection, and verification activities throughout development, production, testing, and product acceptance processes.

Leads quality improvement initiatives, supports audit programs, and serves as a primary quality resource for resolving complex product and process quality issues.

Location: Houston, TX – Pearland

Hourly Rate: $30-$35/hour

Your Challenge

• Lead quality assurance and inspection activities to ensure products, processes, and testing activities consistently meet quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive quality assurance, quality control, inspection, or manufacturing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of quality systems, auditing, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading quality improvement and corrective action initiatives.
• Proficiency interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, and process documentation.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and industry standards such as Aerospace Standard (AS) 9100 or International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001.
• Strong coaching, communication, and problem‑solving skills
