Job summary

EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions, seeks a Quality Systems professional to own and improve our QMS. You will lead internal audits, update policies, and coordinate change management across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

You will train staff, manage document control and software systems (SAP, BaaN, SharePoint), and support continual improvement. Travel up to 25% is required; a Bachelor's or Associate degree with relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quality or related field with 5+ years of quality experience.
• Associates degree in quality with 8+ years of quality experience.
• Experience leading quality system audits and handling document control.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate configuration management across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.
• Process and maintain CM documentation (ECOs/TDNs) in SAP, BaaN, SharePoint, and MS tools.
• Ensure changes are approved, communicated, and managed per change policies.
• Support project management for timely and accurate ECO execution.
• Maintain records for accuracy and conformance to standards.
• Audit locations for applicable standards and requirements.
• Support QMS through internal audits, non-conformance, corrective actions, and RMA processes.
• Travel up to 25%.

Job Purpose

Serves as process owner for assigned quality management systems by leading internal audits, creating and updating policies and procedures, administrating the various quality software systems, serving as the primary coordinator for change management activities, and facilitating continual improvement initiatives. Trains personnel on QMS related principles and in the use of various quality-related software systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate configuration management efforts across the company, working with all functional stakeholders, such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Documentation Services, etc.
• Process and maintain configuration management engineering documentation and records (ECOs and TDNs) using SAP, BaaN, SharePoint, and Microsoft software.
• Ensure changes to products and processes are properly approved, communicated, and managed in accordance with internal change management policies.
• Support overall project management for timely and accurate ECO execution.
• Maintain records for accuracy and conformance to process standards.
• Audit the various manufacturing and support locations to applicable standards and requirements.
• Support maintaining the Quality Management System by participating in internal audits, maintaining and reviewing the non-conformance and corrective action systems, managing and maintaining the customer RMA process and reporting onsite quality metrics for management review.
• Other duties within the global QMS team as assigned
• Travel up to 25%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree & 5+ years of experience within quality or Associates degree & 8+ years of experience within quality
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience leading and participating in quality system audits
• Experience managing document control and other quality-related software systems

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Systems or Engineering Change Control
• Technical writing skills
• Working knowledge of SharePoint and Smartsheet
• AIAG Core Tool Knowledge (APQP, FMEA, CP, SPC, MSA)
• Experience with software such as ERP, BaaN, Windchill
