Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Quality Management Systems professional to serve as process owner for QMS, coordinating audits, policy updates, and change management activities. The role trains personnel on QMS principles and software usage while driving continual improvement across global sites.

The candidate will lead audits, manage document control, and support RMA processes, with travel up to 25% to sites worldwide. A strong background in SAP/BAAN and SharePoint is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree & 5+ years of experience within quality or Associate's degree & 8+ years of experience within quality.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience leading and participating in quality system audits.
• Experience managing document control and other quality-related software systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate configuration management efforts across the company, working with all functional stakeholders (Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.).
• Process and maintain configuration management engineering documentation and records (ECOs and TDNs) using SAP, BAAN, SharePoint, and Microsoft software.
• Ensure changes to products and processes are properly approved, communicated, and managed in accordance with internal change management policies.
• Support overall project management for timely and accurate ECO execution.
• Maintain records for accuracy and conformance to process standards.
• Audit the various manufacturing and support locations to applicable standards and requirements.
• Support maintaining the Quality Management System by participating in internal audits, maintaining and reviewing non-conformance and corrective action systems, managing and maintaining the customer RMA process and reporting onsite quality metrics for management review.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties within the global QMS team as assigned
• Travel up to 25%

Job Purpose

Serves as process owner for assigned quality management systems by leading internal audits, creating and updating policies and procedures, administrating the various quality software systems, serving as the primary coordinator for change management activities, and facilitating continual improvement initiatives. Trains personnel on QMS related principles and in the use of various quality-related software systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree & 5+ years of experience within quality or Associates degree & 8+ years of experience within quality

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Systems or Engineering Change Control
• Lead auditor certification for ISO 9001 (AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 13485 a plus)
• Technical writing skills
• Working knowledge of SharePoint and Smartsheet
• AIAG Core Tool Knowledge (APQP, FMEA, CP, SPC, MSA)
• Experience with software such as ERP, BaaN, Windchill
