Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a Quality Specialist to oversee transplant quality initiatives in Los Angeles. Qualifications

Job Title: Quality Specialist (Transplant)

Quality Specialist (Transplant)

Please only submit candidates at the top of the range if they are exceptionally strong and have a - Bachelor’s degree preferred (nursing, health administration, or related field)

Top 3–5 Must-Haves for the Resume:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish – Must be able to communicate fluently and professionally in both English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.

• ****Proven experience performing chart audits using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

• Strong data analysis and statistical reporting skills

• Experience reporting transplant data, preferably using clinical dashboards

• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities

• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

• Comfortable collaborating with physicians and operational leadership

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with transplant regulations (e.g., UNOS/OPTN, CMS, ESRD Network)

• Experience supporting or participating in quality improvement initiatives in healthcare

• Prior involvement in RCA investigations or survey readiness (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS audits)

• Policy writing or documentation experience in a clinical or transplant environment

• Experience with healthcare analytics software or dashboards

Required Experience & Education:

• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or quality-focused role

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (nursing, health administration, or related field); High School Diploma is a MUST HAVE,

•Clinical or transplant-related background is a plus but not mandatory for a non-clinical temp role

The position of the Transplant Quality Specialist will work with the designated Organ Transplant Programs to provide oversight

and will assist in maintaining compliance with the requirements of the external agencies specifically related to transplant

regulations as set by the Organ Procurement Transplant Network (OPTN) / United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) and CMS

Regulations, Joint Commission, Intermacs, and the ESRD Network. The Transplant Quality Specialist will be responsible for

spearheading and providing oversight to the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of quality

improvement initiatives; taking lead on investigating reported internal and external events, transplant adverse events, and

working with leadership and operations on corrective and preventative action plans; participates and may take lead in RCAs;

participating in on-site surveys with OPTN/UNOS and CMS; responsible for patient chart audits, providing data feedback, and

reporting transplant data on the MOTC dashboard; and responsible for providing statistical data reports, data analysis, and

provide insight on opportunities identified through the data analysis. The Transplant Quality Specialist will be responsible for

writing and revising policy in collaboration with the physician and transplant leaders. The Transplant Quality Specialist will be

expected to work collaboratively with the physician and operational leadership. The position requires strong organizational

and analytical skills, time management, ability to work in fast paced – team environment, and is able to multi-task and excel

under pressure.
