Job summary

MacLean-Fogg Company is hiring a Quality Sorter for our Farmington Hills, Michigan manufacturing facility. You will inspect, sort, and package fastener products to meet customer specifications, quality standards, and daily production targets in a hands-on role.

The position is on-site with a 2nd Shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM). Pay is $19.00/hour, with an additional $1.00/hour shift premium for the 2nd shift. Employment type is Full-time / Hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
• Ability to recognize problems and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance to support consistent production operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and manually sort fastener products according to customer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Identify and separate defective or nonconforming parts to help ensure product quality.
• Perform basic measurements using gauges, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Follow standardized work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures while supporting daily production targets.
• Package and label fastener products according to established requirements.
• Accurately document inspection results and production information.
• Communicate quality concerns and support corrective actions to address identified issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
