Job summary

Schutz Container Systems Inc is seeking an experienced Quality/Safety Manager for our North Branch, NJ steel plant to lead the QA/QC and safety programs. You will conduct on-the-job and classroom trainings, maintain the training matrices, support internal and external audits, and prepare reports and records.

Requirements include at least 2 years in QA/QC and safety in a high-volume manufacturing environment, OSHA knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related QA/QC and safety experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA and manufacturing safety procedures.
• Proven ability to lead trainings and handle audits (internal/external).
• Strong leadership and communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups.

Responsibilities

• Owns quality and safety programs at the plant and ensures compliance.
• Conducts informal on-the-job trainings and classroom trainings with employees.
• Maintains the training matrix and ensures tests and procedures are understood.
• Participates in and prepares for internal and external audits.
• Prepares reports, records and other required documents; investigates customer complaints and accidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
