Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions seeks a Quality and Safety Manager to lead the quality system at the Charlotte facility and serve as Safety Manager. You will partner with plant operations to embed quality in products, drive continuous improvement and ensure OSHA/EPA compliance.

Responsibilities include leading QA teams, conducting root-cause analyses, coordinating corrective actions, and mentoring lean initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of quality experience in a high-volume plant.
• Experience with PFMEA, control plans and process mapping.
• Experience leading EHS-related initiatives or projects.
• Certifications in Environmental or Health & Safety preferred.
• OSHA30 certification a plus.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
• Supervisory experience expected.
• Microsoft Office experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implements SPC and measurement analysis to drive quality improvements.
• Defines PFMEA, process flow mapping, control plans and capability analysis.
• Aligns CoQ metrics with strategic initiatives (scrap, rework, returns, appraisal, prevention).
• Leads CI programs and Lean projects to improve profitability and workflow.
• Teaches Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, quick changeover, value stream mapping, mistake proofing.
• Interacts with production floor daily to support quality goals.
• Reviews KPI to prevent substandard products meeting customer specs.
• Supervises daily activities of QA team at the location.
• Manages HFI system and communicates HFIs to the floor.
• Investigates customer inquiries and drives permanent corrective action.
• Performs root cause analysis and develops corrective actions.
• Audits and reviews the plant quality system; leads QMR meetings.
• Prepares month-end quality reports for plant and corporate.
• Ensures OSHA, EPA and state regulatory compliance.
• Tracks health and safety training for all employees.
• Travels to other plants to share best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
