Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking an experienced Quality Control Materials Inspector (Receiving and Storage/Preservation) for New Construction work. You will visually inspect materials and equipment, verify part numbers, drawings, and specifications, and ensure conformance to project requirements.

The role involves documenting results, identifying nonconforming items, and coordinating with supervisors to address issues.

Qualifications

• Construction experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Able to read and interpret documents, blueprints, codes, and specs.
• Proficient with MS Office and related software.
• Good reading comprehension and communication skills.
• Team player with safety awareness and reliability.

Zachry is seeking an experienced Quality Control Materials Inspector (Receiving and Storage/Preservation) for New Construction work.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect material and equipment for damage and general workmanship.
• Compare part numbers, drawing numbers, specifications, and revision levels on equipment and material being received.
• Inspect raw/loose material, finished parts, and fittings to purchase orders and applicable documentation.
• Verify requirements through review of material certifications per project requirements.
• Identify accepted items to be inventoried.
• Identify nonconforming items and segregate them from accepted items.
• Collects and records results of inspections by part number and enters data on inspection forms, logs or databases.
• Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems.

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience within the oil and gas industry
• Must have good aptitude and manual dexterity
• Good reading comprehension
• Ability to work with others – team player
• Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors
• Commitment to Zachry's values and safety rules and regulations
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package. Familiar with other computer packages (e.g. MS Project, Outlook, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Have the ability to read and interpret documents, blueprints, codes, and specifications.

Work environment

Will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot – cool/cold. Occasional rain. Will work at different elevations. May be required to work in close, confined spaces for an extended period of time. Noise levels will be moderate to high.
