Job summary

Herzog Energy, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee quality across utility-scale solar and BESS projects nationwide in the United States.

The role includes supervising quality inspectors, coordinating audits and surveillance, and developing the project Quality Plan to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and drawings. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 10+ years in construction quality, and at least 5 years in leading a quality program,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; and minimum 10 years of relevant construction quality experience or equivalent combination.
• Minimum of 5 years of leading a quality program and managing quality personnel.
• Experience managing quality programs for utility-scale solar, renewable energy, BESS, or heavy civil construction projects.
• Thorough working knowledge of construction QA/QC activities and inspection processes.
• Knowledge of construction codes, standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Quality Inspectors and coordinate inspections, audits, and surveillance to verify performance to codes, standards, specs, and drawings.
• Staff projects with qualified inspection and test personnel as required.
• Manage quality training programs and monitor training effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project quality procedures and the project Quality Plan.
• Verify materials, equipment, and documentation are available for inspection and testing.
• Audit project activities for compliance with contract specifications and quality plans.
• Interact with field operations to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
