Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking a Director of Quality to oversee day-to-day operations and lead the coordination and integration of services across WVU Medicine Hospitals.

The role directs the operation of departments such as Quality, Infection Control, Regulatory, Patient and Employee Safety, Risk Management, and Privacy. It guides changes to reach departmental goals and develops performance improvement plans with cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Five years hospital operations experience with focus in quality improvement.
• Three years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality, patient and employee safety, infection control, regulatory, policy management and risk management.
• Lead organizational performance improvement and collaboration across departments.
• Develop and monitor budgets, ensure fiscal objectives and reporting to leadership.
• Recruit, develop and retain leadership for departments to meet quality and safety goals.
• Ensure accreditation, licensure and regulatory standards are met and maintained.
• Lead committees and implement evidence-based guidelines to improve patient outcomes.
