Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator to lead safety and quality initiatives across the hospital. The role develops regular statistical reports, data collection and management for quality projects, and coordinates multidisciplinary teams to drive improvement in patient outcomes.

The coordinator collaborates with IT for EMR enhancements, supports audits, and leads internal and external improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or PharmD licensure required.
• Master's degree in health-related field preferred.
• Quality or Patient Safety Certification within 3 years of hire.
• Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop regular statistical reports and data management for quality projects.
• Lead and facilitate quality teams and groups hospital-wide.
• Collaborate with Information Technology to support EMR development and quality reporting.
• Audit and submit data for SPS, NSQIP, CHA, CHAT and other collaboratives.
• Provide education and act as subject matter expert on safety and improvement science.
