Job summary

PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. seeks a Quality Oversight Manager to oversee QA/QC for major rail transit projects. You will analyze complex QA/QC problems, and organize approaches to solutions, aligning with client quality plans.

Responsibilities include developing a Quality Management System, performing audits, and reviewing the Contractor's Quality Manual, while supporting field verification, validation, and self-certification programs. Strong leadership and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction management of rail transit systems or roadway/highway projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• P.E. in California preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Serve as the Quality Oversight Manager for the project and construction management of major rail transit projects. Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach and organize means to achieve a solution of complex QA/QC problems.
• Develop and implement a Quality Management System and Quality Assurance Plan consistent with the client’s Quality Management Plan including the development of a statistical sampling program, audit and surveillance schedules and checklists, document comment tracking, and disposition.
• Review and comment on the Contractor’s Quality Manual.
• Support the Quality, Verification, and Validation and Self-Certification program in the field.

Skills and Competencies:

• Experience in construction management oversight for Design-Build projects with an understanding of the Verification, Validation, and Self-Certification process
