Job summary

Ideal Aerosmith is a leading provider of precision inertial guidance test systems and related services. The Quality Operations Manager will lead day‑to‑day quality operations across manufacturing and complex electromechanical systems, overseeing Quality Inspector and Systems Quality Engineer functions to ensure quality, compliance, and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in quality, inspection, manufacturing, systems quality, or a related technical environment.
• 5+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team‑lead experience.
• Experience supporting mechanical and/or electrical inspection in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of nonconformance management, root cause analysis, corrective action, inspection planning, and quality metrics.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, technical documentation, and customer requirements.
• Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) and obtain a passport.
• Due to federal contract requirements applicable to this position, candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day quality operations supporting manufacturing and complex electromechanical systems.
• Oversee the Quality Inspector and Systems Quality Engineer functions.
• Develop team, improve processes, and partner with engineering, manufacturing, program, supply chain, and customer teams to prevent defects.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness.
• Maintain and report quality metrics and support ISO 9001 requirements.
• Plan staffing and workflow to support production and program schedules.
