Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD seeks a Manager Quality 2 to lead a diverse team and establish/maintain sector-wide policies for product quality assurance and nonconformance management within the MES environment.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements across QA functions while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards, with opportunities to automate data collection using SharePoint, Tableau, and Power Apps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Product Line, and/or Engineering related field; Master's Degree with 6 years of experience.
• Experience in Data Analytics, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventive Action.
• Experience leading and/or managing teams, personnel, and/or projects.
• Experience in all phases of the product development and product realization lifecycle.
• SAP experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e., creation of Excel macros).
• U.S Citizenship Required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision/management of staff members, responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies.
• Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) of team performance.
• Lead the development and enhancement of the quality related functions in the MES system tool in terms of nonconformance management and other product quality assurance functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devise and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Support the sector Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance Program to ensure conformity with the AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Automate data collection and analysis through the use of Microsoft SharePoint tools, Tableau, and/or Power Apps to improve operational efficiency.
