What We Need

Brady is seeking a skilled and driven Quality Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing processes with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in resolving complex production challenges and implementing solutions that enhance product quality and process reliability. This position also provides leadership and technical guidance to technicians and hourly associates, fostering a culture of quality and operational excellence, even without direct reporting lines.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide leadership to key associates to promote participation and cooperation in process development/improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure conformance with and application of policies and procedures.
  • Create PPAP and FAI documents for customers.
  • Design, deploy, and validate new manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Responsible for smooth product production and maintaining a constant production flow.
  • Oversee product qualification processes.
  • Conduct Product & Process FMEA analysis.
  • Create, document, and implement procedures for assembling, testing, and packaging processes.
  • Re-engineer operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Design, install, and debug tooling and new capital equipment.
  • Design, evaluate, and implement automated systems for inspection, manufacturing, and data acquisition.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop training systems and support documentation for associates.
  • Collaborate with new product development engineers on manufacturing strategies.
  • Provide leadership in assigned areas and lead projects in other manufacturing areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer.
  • Strong lean manufacturing skills and knowledge with experience implementing lean methodologies/tools (pull systems, TPM, one piece flow, Kanban, POU, standardized work, batch reduction, visual controls, Ishikawa diagrams/fishbone, 5-Why Analysis, and 5S).
  • Understanding of COC/COA creation.
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, specifically ISO-9001, AS9100.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheets, Google Sheets, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools; GR&R, SPC, DOE’s, Ppk’s, Cpk’s, Hypothesis Testing.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Training Certification and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or ASQ Mechanical Inspector certification.
  • Preferred experience in printing and/or converting industry.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, AutoCAD preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
