Responsibilities

• Ensure all products meet Adkev, Inc.'s quality programs and customer specifications.
• Train personnel in root cause analysis and develop long-term preventive actions.
• Lead and train quality associates; verify training effectiveness and performance.
• Facilitate and participate in customer surveys and audits.
• Maintain quality documents and data control systems.
• Manage inspection, testing and measurement systems.
• Coordinate communications between Adkev, customers, and suppliers on quality issues.
• Review complaint trends and corrective actions with appropriate personnel.
• Develop and maintain continuous improvement within the quality system.
• Develop and review standards, policies, and procedures for production processes; implement solutions.
• Participate in APQP for new product launches.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The basic functions of the position of Quality Manager are to provide direction and coordination of all quality department activities to make quality an inherent part of the company's culture, provide leadership to meet customer specifications and expectations, to meet optimum efficiency of operations and maximize profits.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

Required: BS Degree or equivalent experience and education

Preferred: MS/MS/MBA in Business Management, Mathematics, Manufacturing

Technology or Engineering

Experience

Required: 5 years quality operations experience in quality control in production/manufacturing environment

Preferred: 7 years Quality Manager in plastic injection molding environment to include automotive product

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001 document control systems and audit processes
• Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving, Preventative Action (ability to anticipate problems, use of 8D, 5 Why, etc. as needed)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) applications and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• APQP, PPAP Submission, and Geometric Tolerance
• Layout and capability studies, measurement equipment Customer and Supplier interface and negotiation Effective leadership and training ability
• Strategic planning for quality department and general company objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all products manufactured by Adkev, Inc. are in accordance with Adkev's quality programs and requirements as well as the quality/reliability standards of the customer specifications and expectations

• Train and develop all personnel in root cause analysis of quality issues and development of long-term cost-effective solutions as well as a 'preventative' mind set to anticipate future occurrences
• Lead, direct and train quality associates in their job responsibilities and functions.Verify the effectiveness of the training and performance.
• Facilitate and participate in customer surveys and audits
• Maintain the quality document and data control systems
• Manage all aspects of inspection, testing and measurement systems
• Direct and facilitate communications between Adkev and its customers and between Adkev and its suppliers on quality related issues
• Review complaint trends and review corrective actions with appropriate personnel
• Development, implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement and adherence to Adkev, Inc.'s quality system
• Develop and/or review standards, policies and procedures for all functions and departments involved with or related to the production of all products and processes. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels and verify the implementation of solutions
• Participate in APQP process for new product launches through production state

MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE

The Quality Manager will be considered as performing in a satisfactory manner when the following are accomplished:

• When the above responsibilities and duties are accomplished in a timely and effective manner
• The output of the position is accomplished in accordance with customer requirements
• Compliance with all safety and regulatory issues are met with no major safety violations
• Maintain personal certifications to include professional certifications and maintain that all assigned personnel remain certified in all duties and responsibilities
• IATF16949 standards, processes or duties assigned are performed as defined within Adkev, Inc.'s IATF16949 program parameters
• Maintain ISO14001 standards and documentation
• Compliance with all third-party audits
