Job summary

Leggett & Platt Inc. in the United States is seeking a Quality Manager for our Work Furniture operations. You will lead QA and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and driving a zero-defect culture across production.

You will partner with management and NPD to support PPAP parts, develop process control plans, and coach teams on Lean methods, safety, and ISO/QMS standards. The role requires hands-on leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering/Manufacturing/Business.
• 7–10 years of quality leadership in manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or Lean certification is a plus.
• Strong communicator in cross-functional environments.
• Working knowledge of ISO standards and QMS compliance.
• Hands-on and production-floor collaborative.
• Proficient in MS Office; read blueprints and use measurement tools.
• Ability to perform measurements with various equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of quality processes through observations and data interpretation.
• Be responsible for safety/environmental issues involving quality.
• Partner with management to implement continuous improvement projects; assist with Lean Projects.
• Support the analysis and resolution of customer complaints; ensure actions meet customer expectations and drive prevention.
• Collaborate with production to ensure quality control requirements are executed.
• Develop and improve process control plans, work instructions, and production standards.
• Foster a Zero-Defect quality culture and drive QA and prevention into operations.
• Partner with NPD to ensure prototypes and PPAP parts meet customer requirements.
• Available to work a flexible schedule to support production and customer needs.
