Job summary

Autocar, LLC, a manufacturer of severe-duty vocational trucks in North America, seeks a Quality Manager to lead QA/QC across the Hagerstown plant. You will drive CAPA, root-cause analysis, and process improvements with engineering, operations, and supply chain collaboration.

You will oversee audits, quality systems, and calibration, while coaching a team of quality engineers and inspectors to deliver defect reduction and higher product reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001, IATF/TS16949 (preferred).
• Familiarity with tools such as SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, RCA, CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the plant.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA.
• Establish and maintain inspection standards, testing procedures, and quality systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure quality in design and manufacturing.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and reduce defects and scrap.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of quality engineers and inspectors.
• Oversee calibration systems and testing equipment reliability.
