Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Quality Manager in Mishawaka, IN to take ownership of the quality function within a family‑owned metal stamping company. You will lead PPAP, audits, corrective actions, and supplier/customer quality initiatives while mentoring a small team.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing quality and a strong background in ISO 9000, GD&T, and engineering drawings. This on‑site role offers a competitive salary and room to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Mathematics, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
Prior leadership experience as Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, or Senior Quality Engineer.
Strong knowledge of PPAP methodologies and ISO 9000 compliance.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the company's quality management system and procedures.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards and customer quality requirements.
Lead PPAP submissions, documentation, and approval processes.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and operations to reduce defects.
Review customer specs and communicate quality standards across teams.
Develop and monitor quality metrics, reports, and KPIs.
Perform audits, inspections, and process evaluations for continuous improvement.
Support customer and supplier quality initiatives as needed.
Train and mentor quality personnel and foster a culture of quality.
