Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Quality Manager in Mishawaka, IN to lead the quality function within a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will drive ISO 9000 compliance, oversee PPAP submissions, and partner with operations to reduce defects and improve processes.

Lead a small quality team and mentor personnel while developing quality systems and best practices. This role emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence in a stable manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Mathematics, Manufacturing, or related technical field preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in a Quality Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP methodologies and requirements.
• Thorough understanding of ISO 9000 quality systems and compliance standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with Keyence 3D measurement systems, CMM equipment, and portable inspection arms is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company's quality management system and quality procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards and customer quality requirements.
• Lead PPAP submissions, documentation, and approval processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and operations to drive quality improvements and reduce defects.
• Review customer specifications and ensure quality standards are communicated and implemented.
• Develop and monitor quality metrics, reports, and performance indicators.
• Perform audits, inspections, and process evaluations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Support customer and supplier quality initiatives as needed.
• Train and mentor quality personnel and foster a culture of quality.
