Job summary

Apparent Technologies, Inc. is an Austin-based engineering and manufacturing company serving the semiconductor industry since 2004.

We are seeking a hands-on Quality leader to head the Quality function, develop people, and prevent defects in a specialized semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will lead Quality and Inspection teams, set KPIs, manage audits, and partner with Production and Engineering to drive manufacturing quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading quality in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001 and audits.
• Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving.
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a quality team.
• Excellent cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Quality and Inspection teams (3–5 people).
• Set quality goals, KPIs, and priorities.
• Manage and improve the ISO 9001 QMS.
• Lead internal, customer and certification audits.
• Manage nonconformances and corrective actions.
• Lead root-cause investigations.
• Oversee receiving, first article, in-process and final inspection.
• Ensure products meet drawings and customer requirements.
• Partner with Production and Engineering to prevent defects.
• Reduce rework, scrap and recurring quality issues.
• Oversee inspection equipment, gauges and calibration.
• Support new product introduction and manufacturing improvements.
• Address supplier quality issues and customer quality concerns.
• Train and develop Quality personnel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Quality Management or Quality Leadership experience in manufacturing
• QMS experience
• ISO 9001 knowledge
• Audit and corrective-action experience
• Root-cause analysis/problem-solving skills
• Engineering drawing and GD&T experience
• Experience leading and developing Quality personnel
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
